Course Description

The Diploma of Community Services reflects the roles of community services workers involved in managing, coordinating, and delivering person centered services to individuals, groups and communities.

This course is designed for learners to develop specialised skills to work autonomously within a range of areas and work under broad directions from senior management. At this level workers will gain required knowledge to work  in roles ranging from coordinator to case manager or development of new business opportunities within the Community Services sector.

Vocational Outcomes

Successful completion of the CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services can lead to a range of possible career opportunities including community care manager, community services coordinator, case worker, welfare support worker, senior youth worker, disability team leader, community development worker for social housing, early intervention worker, support facilitator, family services coordinator, case coordinator.

Course Completion

“Students who achieve a ‘Competent’ result in all required units of study will be awarded the certificate for the qualification. A statement of attainment will be issued for any units in which the student has been assessed as ‘Competent.'”

Protection of fee paid in advance

Tuition fee paid in advance by student is protected under comonwealth’s Tuition Protection Service (TPS). TPS is a placement and refund service for international students. The TPS is like an insurance cover for fees paid in advance. It is a single mechanism to place students when provider fails to meet obligations or as a last resort to provide refunds of unexpended prepaid tuition fees.
